Miles or, ‘Ash’ as he was better known to his friends, managed to drop out of heaven at the same time as Jo. Their fall to Earth landed them in entirely different places, though unlike Jo, Ash’s often underestimated intelligence allowed him to manifest his spirit form as practically corporeal immediately. Able to interact easily on the physical plane, or shift himself into something a little more insubstantial at will, he’s still uncomfortable with the fact that he’s, for all intents and purposes, a ‘spook’.

He knows that Jo made it out, but is unsure whether anyone else did. Keen to get back into the game, his first mission is to find Jo, and work out some way to ‘de-spook’ them. Being a spirit is fun for a while, but he really, really, just wants to be able to kick back with a beer and a stack of parts from radio-shack, using his innate skill with devices and electronics to give the good guys a much needed boost.

The global power out and lack of any juice to run things doesn’t really worry him too much, generators would do and battery packs at a push. However, his brilliance is known by those siding with the Damned - if he could knock up an angel radio in Heaven, then why not a few ‘supernaturally tuned’ weapons on Earth? Unaware of the interest from the other side, he sets off in search of Jo, hoping to find both her and a way back into a real body again.
